What started as a simple hashtag, a call to action from one person, became a movement.
One healthcare executive, Rose L. Horton, felt her frustration rising with the growing number of cases of maternal morbidity and mortality. She created the hashtag #notonmywatch to galvanize nurses - the frontline providers and largest healthcare employee contingent - to make the difference in their patients' lives and change the trajectory of this alarming trend.
Doing her part to mitigate maternal morbidity and mortality has become her passion and life's work and is one of the many topics she speaks about locally, regionally, and nationally.
